roundtable

This roundtable will delve into South Korea’s experience in addressing economic security challenges and how these insights can inform the EU and Spain’s strategies on the subject. In recent years, the EU has made significant progress in designing and implementing its economic security strategy. Similarly, Spain’s industrial and digital policy initiatives demonstrate the country’s efforts to enhance its economic resilience and security amid rising geopolitical risks. As Europe crafts its response to these challenges, South Korea’s extensive experience in developing and implementing economic security strategies can provide valuable inspiration.

The event will feature insights from Korean and European experts, government officials, and private sector representatives. They will assess South Korea’s approaches to economic coercion and technology security, aiming to extract relevant lessons and propose potential avenues for increased cooperation between Europe and South Korea in these critical areas.
