A seminar organised by the Real Instituto Elcano and the Korea Foundation under the title ‘Korea and Global Governance Reform: Opportunities for Cooperation with the EU and Spain’ was held in the auditorium of the Press Association of Madrid on Friday 9 May. The keynote address was delivered by the former Foreign Minister of the Republic of Korea (2013-2017), Mr. Yun Byung-se, who gave an overview of the current geopolitical situation and highlighted areas where his country can expand its cooperation with the European Union and Spain.

The former minister was accompanied by the Korean Ambassador to Spain, Mr. Soosuk Lim. The seminar was attended by leading analysts from the Elcano Royal Institute, the Asian Institute for Policy Studies, the European Union Institute for Security Studies, the Centre for Strategic and International Studies, and the Centre for Security, Diplomacy and Strategy of the University of Brussels, among others.
