Ambassador Lim Soosuk held a meeting with the CEO of Fertiberia, Spain’s largest fertiliser producer

On 4 May, Ambassador Lim Soosuk met with Pablo Llobet, CEO of Fertiberia, to explore new opportunities for economic and industrial cooperation between the Republic of Korea and Spain.

The Spanish company, a leader in the production of fertilisers and urea, supplies Korea with strategic products such as strontium carbonate, an essential component for LCD screens, as well as manufacturing key raw materials for industrial and agricultural sectors, including fertilisers and AdBlue.

Spain, a bridge to Latin America

Spain has invested heavily in Latin America. During the last few decades, its companies have become some of the biggest investors in the continent, making Spain the most important investor in the region immediately after the United States. In addition, Spain has always been essential in the relations between Europe and Latin America.
