South Korea was listed as the eighth country with the most commercial activity leaped to another level over the previous year surpassing Italy for the first time ever.
Imports and exports were carried out to approximately 1,07 billions of dollars in 2012, a decreased of 1,1% compared to the previous year.
Furthermore the commercial volume in Italy declined at a much faster pace. A decrease of 8,7% year on year until it reached more than $987000 million in 2012 becoming the ninth country with the most commercial activity in the world.
United States remained the largest country with commercial activity and the volume of trade grew 3,6 per cent year on year.
China ranked second. Imports and exports increased with a year on year growth rate of 6,2% to reach up to $3,88% billions. China was followed up by Germany, Japan, Netherlands, France and United Kingdom.
“United States was maintained in the position with the most trade activity based on massive imports. It is expected that China pass United States to be the country with the most commercial activity in the world.
To maintain the growth of the trade volume in South Korea, the country requires increase the exports, especially from the small and medium- sized enterprises taking into account that the major exports to the world in South Korea was only 61, while China and Germany were 1431 and 777, respectively.
