SEOUL, April 16 (Yonhap) - The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy and the Agency for the Promotion of Trade and Investment South Korea organized, on Tuesday, at the exhibition center in Goyang, north of Seoul a consultation meeting to increase exports of South Korean companies.
Global Business Square, which will be the largest volume in the first half of this year, is being held to help small and medium businesses that are in trouble because of the weakness of the yen, to increase exports and to find opportunities cooperation with foreign companies.
Despite the heightened tensions on the Korean peninsula by repeated threats of war from North Korea, a total of 521 foreign buyers from 61 countries, taking part in the meeting for consultations with about 1,200 South Korean companies.
Among foreign buyers include GM, Ford, Oracle, Tesco, Inditex, etc.. Two thirds of the participants are global companies with sales of over $ 100 million.
