22/04/2013. The Koreans, on average, per person, rank fifth in the world ranking in terms of consumption of luxury brands. The Consumer Agency (KCA) South Korea conducted a survey among a sample of 1,000 citizens aged over 20 years and 'owners' of some import luxury brand.
According to that analysis, south koreans consumers have up to nine import luxury brands (8.81 prestigious international articles) and tend to buy two brands in this segment a year. Per capita they spend on luxury items worth around 1,835 euros.
A large number of respondents acquired imported luxury goods by "self-satisfaction" and for another factors as a "higher quality" of the items and "the mere fact that many others buy".
