SEOUL, Nov. 11 ( Yonhap ) - The Ministry of Science , ICT and Future Planning Korea announced Monday that arrange with the U.S. State Department , the first " Policy Forum ICT in South Korea -US " , from Tuesday to Wednesday in Washington.
At the summit meeting in Seoul and Washington, held last May , the two countries agreed to hold an annual forum, which aims to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the field of information technology and communication (ICT ) .
It is expected that during the forum will discuss joint measures to address information security and world affairs.
On the first day of the forum, government representatives and industrial circle the two nations seek cooperative measures in the areas of " creative economy " , computer security and the spread of Internet service , and the standardization of communication part of the International Telecommunication Union . On the second day , officials discuss ways to strengthen cooperation in ICT-related policies and the protection of private information and cooperation in international organizations .
South Korean Deputy Minister of Science , ICT and Future Planning , Yoon Jong- lok , who will visit U.S. to attend the forum , is scheduled to meet with Luis Alberto Moreno , president of the Inter-American Development Bank , in order to discuss measures for South Korean firms , dedicated to ICT and information protection can penetrate the Latin American market.
