SEOUL, June 22th (Yonhap) – Civil servants from nine countries arrived to South Korea this Monday to be trained on the electronic government of South Korea, as announced the same day by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the five- day visit, 13 civil servants at the Director level will study how South Korea manages its electronic administration management system to apply it afterwards in their countries, according to the press release from the Ministry.
The itinerary of the group includes tours by the government buildings in Seoul’s downtown and by the National Computing and Information Agency, in charge of the Government’s operation electronic system.
According to the press release, the South Korean model can greatly contribute to the creation of government electronic systems in the visiting countries, among which are Peru, Uganda and Myanmar (formerly known as Burma).
