SEOUL, 21 January (Yonhap) - Samsung Electronics Co. has announced this Tuesday that it will present its smart TVs equipped with the platform Internet of Things (IoT, according to its acronym in English) during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2016.
The South Korean technology giant announced it will use the IoT platform in its new range of smart TVs by 2016 and will be presented from January 6th to 9th during CES 2016, in Las Vegas, United States.
The IoT is a concept in which all objects are connected to the Internet and can be identified with other devices to exchange data to help improve efficiency and comfort.
Samsung, the world's largest TV maker, said the platform installed on TVs can be connected to other compatible home appliances with IoT technology, such as security cameras. Users can also connect the TV with smart phones to trigger other devices with IoT platform.
