During the days 17 to 21 of January, IFEMA hosted the FITUR 2018 International Tourism Fair, which takes place every year in Madrid. With just over two weeks until the start of the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, next February 9, South Korea did not miss this mandatory appointment at FITUR.
South Korea is much more for Spain than an Olympic Games, as the Spain-Korea Chamber of Commerce promulgates, but given the proximity of the Olympics, the stand of South Korea wanted to take the opportunity to give the opportunity to its visitors, of successful way of launching on the springboard where the ski jumping events of the next winter Olympics will be held through virtual reality, becoming one of the great attractions of this edition of FITUR. In addition, other successful activities organized by the stand of South Korea in FITUR, the tasting of traditional products such as Kim Bab, the Korean traditional dance show, or Korean calligraphy, which caused huge queues of attendees during the development of the activity.
Mr. Jorge Salaverry Romero, on behalf of the General Secretariat of the Spain-Korea Chamber of Commerce, visited the South Korea stand at FITUR and, like all the attendees, he was able to witness the resounding success of his stand. That Spain's interest in Korea is growing is as real as Korea's interest in Spain is. Therefore, the Chamber of Commerce Spain-Korea promotes economic, commercial and cultural relations between both countries and supports the interaction between both countries, both from the actions of private companies and from Public Administrations.
