On October 27, Spain is Excellence, the tourism and culture consortium for Spanish excellence, organized a meeting in Madrid in which the potential of these markets for luxury tourism was valued. Ana Alonso, CEO of Spain is Excellence, pointed out that "for next year, we have three trade missions scheduled for Brazil, Korea and the Emirates", since the three markets represent a challenge for said tourism segment. Regarding South Korea, Jorge Salaverry, general secretary of the Spain-Korea Chamber of Commerce, explained that “the Korean is a tourist who loves Spain”. In 2009, 119,000 Koreans visited our country, and ten years later, in 2019, before the pandemic, 630,000 arrived. Spain is the second most visited destination for them, after the United States.
